The Open Source Software for Palestine Initiative intends to provide permissive open-source software licenses which meet every definition of Open Source as defined by the Open Source Initiative, while also attaching an urgent call for solidarity with Palestinians in their struggle for liberation in the text of each license. While the information attached via the license places no additional requirements on users with respect to use of the software, compared to other permissive open source licenses, the nature of licenses is such that any user of the software will receive (or be directed to) a full copy of the license, and anyone distributing the software will similarly be required to retain the license with all distributions of the software.
